Vickie was born in Southern California and attended her elementary school years there before moving to Southern Oregon with her family in 1972.  While enjoying the fresh air and warm summers the Rogue Valley had to offer, she spent her early years after graduation working in the fitness industry. Later she entered the weight loss industry which she enjoyed for nearly 10 years working for Jenny Craig International.  A company offer to relocate brought her back to Southern California in 1991 as she welcomed a new adventure in her life.  The California lifestyle was a good fit for Vickie and she continued her adventure by moving further south to the beautiful San Diego, California area.

In 1993 she met the man of her dreams, Mike Suchy, while living in San Diego and two years later they were married on the romantic island of Maui, Hawaii.  In 1996 Mike and Vickie relocated to Orange County, California where they both enjoyed costal living while working in the mortgage industry.  Today, they continue to live in Orange County with their two beautiful children, Brittany age 10 and Michael age 8. 

Vickie has spent the last 25 years working in sales, training and management.  

Today, with the love and support of her family, Vickie feels fortunate to be able to pursue a lifelong dream of becoming a published author.  The Tears to Treasure: Amy’s Journey is the first book of what she hopes to be one of many over the next several years.
