The Tears to Treasure

When you hear the words, 'I Love You' for the very first time,
those are the tears to treasure.
When you look into the eyes of the one you love and say the words, 'I do',
those are the tears to treasure.
When you hold your newborn baby for the very first time,
those are the tears to treasure.
When you feel your heart breaking, so much that you find it difficult to breathe,
those are the tears to treasure.
When you or a loved one is suffering, due to illness or injury,
those are the tears to treasure.
When you know that you must say goodbye, even though you don’t want to,
those are the tears to treasure.
When you lose a loved one, and though it may be difficult,
those are the tears to treasure.
You see, to not cry is to not feel. To not feel is to not live. It is the experiences in our lives both good and bad that shape our hearts and our souls.
So live, love, laugh and cry. But most important always remember,
tears shed are to be treasured forever.
